As if choosing a Nespresso machine wasn’t already hard enough, now Nespresso has added a whole new line, the Vertuo line. Nespresso capsules for Vertuo machines ONLY work in Nespresso Vertuo machines and Nespresso capsules for Original machines only work in Nespresso Original machines.
So which capsule works in my Nespresso machine?
If your capsules look like the capsule image on the left then you have a Nespresso Original machine and you should ONLY use capsules compatible with Nespresso Original machines (like Artizan Coffee capsules). If your capsules look like the capsule image on the right then you should ONLY use Nespresso capsules compatible with Vertuo machines.
Will Artizan Coffee capsules fit my Nespresso machine?
Artizan Coffee capsules are specifically designed to work in the following Nespresso Original line coffee machines: Delonghi C190, D290, Citiz, CitiZ&Milk, Maestria, U, Le Cube, Inissia, Latissima Plus, Latissima Touch, Lattissima One, Pixie, KitchenAid, Prodigio, Expert, Essenza Mini, Creatista, Creatista Uno, and Creatista Plus.
Artizan Coffee capsules will NOT work on all Original line machines.
If you machine is not on the list above our capsules may not work in your machine. The following is a list of machines we know are not compatible with Artizan Capsules: Nespresso Lattisima Pro, Ninja Espresso & Coffee Barista System, MIELE Built-In Smart Coffee Machine.
Artizan Coffee capsules will NOT work with any Nespresso Vertuo line machine.
Including Vertuo Plus, Vertuo Plus Deluxe, Evoluo, Vertuo, Vertuo Next, and any machine with the name Vertuo in it.

When will Artizan Coffee make capsules compatible with Nespresso Vertuo line machines?
Unfortunately, the Nespresso Vertuo capsule system is closed to competitors like Artizan Coffee until the patent expires in 2030. One of the reasons the Vertuo line was developed was to fight exactly that (compatibles) with a brand new patent that prevents any company from manufacturing compatible Vertuo Nespresso capsules.
I’ve seen YouTube videos of people using ESE pods in their Nespresso Vertuo machine. Will your ESE pods work in my Nespresso Vertuo machine?
Our ESE pods are made for ESE machines only. We cannot guarantee that our ESE pods will work in any Nespresso Vertuo machine.
Can I use a reusable Vertuo capsule with your coffee?
Yes, you can purchase any of our whole-bean or ground coffees with your reusable Vertuo pods. When placing an order for ground coffee make sure to specify at checkout that you will be using our coffee in a reusable Vertuo pod. The best grind setting for Nespresso Vertuo capsules is Espresso / Grind No. 3.
